Visitation Rules

1.   All visitors 18 years of age and older must have a valid Government issued Photo ID.

2.   Visiting sessions shall last at least twenty (20) minutes for a regular visit.

3.   A person under the age of eighteen (18) may visit an inmate only if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is eighteen (18) years of age or older and is responsible for the juvenile.

4.   Persons not listed on the inmate's visitation list shall not be allowed to visit.

5.   An inmate shall be allowed up to three (3) visitors per visitation period and (1) visitation period a day.

Inmate's Account

Funds may be deposited into an Inmate’s Account in the following manners:

·         Touchpay On-line service. Service is available 24 hours a day and accepts Visa, Master Card and Moneypak*. An Inmate ID/JCA number is REQUIRED. Our Facility Number is: 227701. A service fee is applied to each deposit.

·         Touchpay kiosk located in the Detention Center lobby. The public kiosk provides 24 hour availability and accepts Cash, Visa, Master Card and Moneypak*. A service fee is applied to each deposit.

·         TouchPay phone services: Toll-free 1-866-232-1899. Service is available 24 hours a day and accepts Visa, Master Card and Moneypak*. An Inmate ID/JCA number is REQUIRED. Our Facility Number is: 227701. A service fee is applied to each deposit.

*Green Dot MoneyPak cards are available at retailers nationwide, including: CVS, Kroger, Rite Aid, Walgreens, K-Mart, RadioShack, Ralphs, Winn Dixie.

·         Visit the Money Intake window at the main entrance of the Durham County Detention Facility. Deposits are accepted during the hours of 9:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-4:00pm, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Cashier’s checks, money orders or cash is accepted.
